Building independent,
confident learners since 1966
Westshore Montessori School offers an authentic Montessori education in a warm, prepared environment, supporting children from infancy through Kindergarten as they build independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
A Montessori education that follows the child.
Since 1966, Westshore Montessori School has provided an authentic Montessori education in a warm, prepared environment where children grow with independence, confidence, curiosity, and joy. Serving children from 6 weeks through Kindergarten, Westshore offers a nurturing community where each child is respected as an individual and supported at their own pace. Guided by trained Montessori educators, children explore hands-on materials, care for their classroom community, and develop the quiet confidence that comes from meaningful work.
About Our School
What your child explores each day.
Four interconnected areas of the prepared classroom, each inviting purposeful, hands-on discovery.
Cultural
Cultural studies give children a comprehensive understanding of the world — nurturing curiosity, an appreciation for diversity, and a sense of connection to humanity and nature.
Practical Life
Practical Life activities foster independence, develop fine motor skills, and build a sense of responsibility and order through hands-on, real-world tasks.
Sensorial
Sensorial work refines the senses — sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell — supporting cognitive development and laying a foundation for future learning.
Math
Math is hands-on and concrete, focused on genuine understanding rather than memorization, so children explore numbers and operations at their own pace.
A continuous path, from infancy to kindergarten.
Each program is thoughtfully prepared for a specific plane of development, so your child is always met exactly where they are.
The Nest (Parent-Infant Program)
A gentle, nurturing first community for babies and caregivers to grow, bond, and begin the Montessori journey together.
Toddler Program
A calm Montessori environment where toddlers build independence, coordination, language, and confidence through purposeful movement and hands-on exploration.
Primary Program
A mixed-age Montessori classroom where children build independence, concentration, respect, and a lifelong love of learning through hands-on materials and purposeful work.
Kindergarten Leaders
The final year of the Primary experience, where children grow as classroom leaders, mentors, and confident learners prepared for the next step.
